There's a recent increase in fs threads. While some of that increase can likely be attributed to the unofficial start of train season around Labor Day and the publishing of new train catalogs, how much is also a result of the upcoming Fall York show?
Do you find yourself thinning out your inventory before York shows to make room for those acquisitions you're hoping to make there or to make additional $$$ available for York and ensuing purchases?

OGG, good information and observation. I always have a wanted to buy post on the forum for inoperative locomotives. This always heats up this time of year. Train season for some is a real thing and others all year long.
You're right, I've noticed an increase in awesome stuff the last week in the FS forum. And, when the new Lionel catalog was released last Friday, there've been some incredible deals since.
I've bought a lot of great stuff off this forum, met many great folks.
I agree the FS board is very active around York. Maybe it has to do with people thinning collections to get money to buy new at York or people saving on the shipping and completing the transaction on the fairgrounds. I know personally in April my friends were amazed that I had to make a car run 10 minutes after opening due to all the stuff I picked up from people that I had purchased on the forum. I know I have 3 orders already waiting for me this October.
