A while back there was an instruction sheet detailing a modification to the switches that would prevent the rolling stock from riding up going thru. It basically was a piece that was added to the switch to prevent the problem.
I do not remember if it was a post here on the forum or something that was posted on-line. I tried doing a search here but I couldn't find anything.

there was a thread on adding a piece of rail to Atlas switches to stop this.
You can often mitigate those kinds of problems with both Ross and Gargraves turnouts by inserting track pins, that are bent down slightly, in the ends of the extra rails in the middle of the turnout.

I think I am going to try Barry's suggestion first, it being the simplest to try. My wife calls me simple so this fix is right up my alley. I've never figured out if she is kidding or not.
Lots of good info on the threads mentioned. Pretty sure I can fix the switches with this info.
