Can anybody help? I think there used to be (still is?) a glue that can temporarily hold down figures. I just can remember what it's called. Does anybody know?
Thanks,
George

I live and die by this stuff: Mini-hold. I have had/used a container for close to 20 years, and there is at least 20 more in it!
Thank you, Brad. I just couldn't dredge up the name.
hahahaha... i had to run to the basement and look at my bottle to remember it, too!
I have used Walthers Goo forever and it can be removed and remains semi pliable.

I use museum wax, comes in a little round cannister. I bought it from Scenic Express, easy to use, holds em down, completely reversible...
Looks like the same material as "Museum Wax" - widely available on-line.
George - you may also be thinking Scenic Accents glue

I use clear acrylic caulking. It holds ok and the figures, or whatever it was holding together can be pealed off later when holding plastic parts.
If you have Aleene's Original Tacky Glue that will absolutely work for a temporary glue for figures and will come off easily. That or Rubber Cement.

Mod Podge and Museum Wax have worked for me for plastic figures. Don't hold so well if the figures are pewter as they are too heavy.
Thanks guys!!!

I just use my hot glue gun. Works fine and reversible.
Glue dots work for me. Get them at Hobby Lobby.
All the above, plus Walthers Goo (that brown rubbery stuff)

Same here. Just make sure to pull away the leftover “hair” strands and all is good.

I concur! And Goo Gone to remove the GOO when you want to!!
If you can't find Mini Hold, Lemax and Department 56 have the same thing.
Here's Lemax, works great.
A further thought, I have a cat (the superintendent who inspects any layout change), the hot glue seems to resist her inspections, the museum wax does not.
