Golden Gate Depot Coaling Tower Spacing | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Can someone let me know what is the minimium spacing needed between tracks to install the GGD Coaling Tower. I want to put one in my yard area but my tracks are pretty close. I could put it over the last section but I would need 1 support to be between the tracks.

Track spacing is 5 1/4" center to center in these pictures.

Gerry,

I had to squeeze mine in between existing tracks also. I was able to use 4-1/4" track centers, but had to remove both the outer and inner walkways to provide clearance. It looks better IMO with the wider spacing that Mike used, if you can manage that.
