Grade crossings and signals

I am currently building a new 3 rail o scale layout in my basement. I am using Lionel FasTrack and I have a few concerns. One of those being can I have a lighted grade crossing on the same loop of track with a lighted signal on it? There are wired to different pieces of track on the opposite sides of the layout. I am also using the #993 Lionel Legacy Set to power the track. I would really appreciate any insight or answers.

Edit: I would also like to mention that the grade crossing is a Lionel 6-12062 Grade crossing with lights and flashers and is activated with a Isolated track section (ie. the FasTrack rails with the little breaks in them.)

There should not be an issue with having both on the same track, you can activate these with infrared sensors, separate sensor for each.

Sorry I didn't read very well thru your post but even so I would not see a problem

adkmodelrailroader26: There should be no problem with the road crossing. You didn't say what type of signal you want to use; part number, manufacturer.

In general, you can operate multiple accessories in the same loop of track but they might not be hooked up in the same way.

You're probably using a Legacy 990 set. The 993 is just a charging base. No worries on any of your accessories being powered off the track. What kind of power (transformer) do you have? It should be a constant 18 vac.
