I just got a bundle of 20 grain of wheat bulbs in fixtures with peel and stick backing and a foot of very tiny wire. I just ordered a spool of 28gauge wire from Miniatronics to wire these up. First project involves only two lights but presents a problem. I have a 2 stall engine house with tracks protruding from both ends. The rear tracks have lighted bumpers to signal when the track is live. The same tracks protrude out the front of the house, but must be clear for engines to move off of the transfer table into the stalls. Problem is, when I am operating the transfer table, I can look over at the toggle switches which turn on power to the stall tracks, but I would really like to mount a grain of wheat fixture above the doors to each stall to identify when the track is live. Th lights are designed for 12 to 16 volts, which is lower than the TMCC level power I use for the stall tracks. I can pick up 14 or 15 volts from accessory buses, but I need a switch of some sort to turn on the light when the track power is on. Any suggestions?
