George, It works as advertised although it can get pricey depending on how elaborate you get. The only negative is the little port sharing boxes don't have lugs for mounting them under the layout.

Thanks Brad.  I did buy some of the components to evaluate them in a very specific and limited location.  So far, I can't say I'm very impressed.  "Cheesy" or flimsy are the words that comes to mind.

I used the Just plug lights for this scene (which happens to be in a tunnel) and found it easy, expensive, and cheaply made. But the scene is fun for visitors who look in my tunnels.

The scene below is the North Pole and I used lights from Evan Designs. Much less expensive, feels like quality, and is still easy to use.

Obviously still a work in progress, but I prefer lighting my buildings and streets with the Evans designs lighting.

Showed-up to be added to one of the Fort Pitt, modules.  The (5) traffic barriers, and (5) construction cones.  All plugged together nicely.  Each device was pre-wired, with long enough wire, to do the picture, below,  without splicing.

The two black box modules, either side of the backhoe trench/bottom side, left middle of picture.  I believe it required 18 vac power.

Keith,

I agree - completely.  I, too have used Evans Design products and feel the same way.

Hi George,

I wired up about 10 building fronts using that system and I liked it very much. I agree with the comment above that it can get pricey. There was also a comment in a prior thread that the wire was extremely thin and hard to work with. To an extent I agree with that, but I have to say that overall I'm very pleased with how everything turned out. It really simplifies wiring for those of us with model railroading talents in other areas of the hobby.
