Sorry if I didn't put this in correct Forum, but wanted one to complete delivery vans that were in my era and not sure were else to post this.

Growing up, every Wednesday the Peter Wheat man would come around 10AM to sell his bread and sweet rolls, etc. Plus if mom bought he would give a free Peter Wheat comic book for us kids.

I've looked for a Peter Wheat delivery truck for years, but never saw one, probable missed one also. Question, was one ever made? Thanks

Josef,  Were you old enough to have retained an image of the truck?  Many deliveries on residential routes were from DIVCO trucks.  There is at least one thread in the Forum which will appear if you do a Forum Search. John in Lansing, ILL

Yes, they were DIVCO trucks. The one I remember were painted a green color with white and the Peter Wheat slogan on sides. The rear, just as the DIVCOs opened and he had trays slide out with Peter Wheat products. Back of trays and his seat were filledwith boxes to replenish his trays and special cakes for the week or month. Alongside his seat were a container which contained that months comic books and special order book with catalogs. Yes I remember very well, I was born in 45. They started coming regularly in 55 to 59 weekly, then suddenly stopped.

Wonder how many remember the company?

Then buy one of the many Divco models from diecast direct or eBay, and somehow get the PW logo (off the "net" or off one of the PW comics) and put it on the truck.
