I see a number of pilots on here, has anyone flown to York? Any info, experiences and ground transportation tips?

I was in there in a King Air 90 several years ago. I don't remember anything specific. I do recall that over all it was a good experience. The folks at York Aviation were very nice.
The FBO is York Aviation. 717-792-5566. Unicom is 123.0. IFR RNAV approach to runway 17 gets you down to 500/1. The RNAV runway 35 approach minimums are 600/1.
Probably a 10-15 minute drive to the fairgrounds.
Rich, How do I get a ride on the OGR Corporate Headquarters Gulfstream V to York?
OGR Forum road.......er... I mean air trip to York.
Gee..is that it out on U.S. 30 on the way to Gettysburg? I assume nothing commercial
flies in there...everybody I have heard of flew into Harrisburg or Baltimore (I flew into
Philly once)

Correct, it's about 7 miles SW of York on Hwy 30. Harrisburg is 17 nautical miles north of York Airport.
I'm looking for first hand experience if anyone has flown in for the York TCA Meet as PIC and has any experience or advice to share about the services available at THV and ground transportation. I'm looking at flying in for Thurs & Fri as I could arrange to be in the area during York. First hand/local knowledge is helpful as small GA airport services (both on site and available locally) can vary widely from one location to another. It becomes less fun when you have to turn a King Air by hand in the gravel on what was an advertised paved rwy or they have no fuel and you have to walk the 7 miles into town (been there & done all of that). Thank you.
