Can anyone share their experience updating PS2 locomotive sound/control software using the USB port on the Rev L TIU?
Does it require an updated version of the loader?

Works like a champ. I couldn't get my serial USB adapter to work with my two Rev. L TIU's, but the USB worked fine. It functions just like the serial as far as upgrades, and I upgraded the TIU, remote, and several engines.
If you download the latest loader, v2.30, that works just fine.
I've had no problems with it. Seems to take 4-7 minutes to re-load a file.
Was there anything special you needed to do to get it to work? I'm trying to use the most recent Loader via USB on a Rev L TIU, tried it both on a laptop with XP, and a PC with Win 7 with the 64-bit version and can't get any of them to locate the TIU via the USB connection. Loaded the drivers from the Internet, etc.

Don't let Windows try to automatically download the driver from the web. Use THIS driver specified by MTH.
