most hardware and auto parts stores if you want to buy locally

Lowes carries a good selection. Look at what size wiring you use and figure the tubing should be twice the size of what you are shrinking it on. Heat guns make fast work of shrinking.
Harbor Freight sells heat shrink tubing as well.
Another source/alternative...
There are different types as well.
I avoid the more plastic like ones, shiny and stiff; which can have uses, but few. It doesn't seal well unless it is lined with a sealer (way more pricey). It also gets holes blown in it easily from high heat. Common low buck version at autoparts stores, look at the packs of black, sometimes it is the good stuff.
The rubbery ones I like. Thicker is usually better too. But again; application! Some brands are food enough you can use direct flame from a Bic lighter without much fear of a meltdown.
For the times you forget to put the tube on before you solder ..
....I suggest "Liquid Electrical Tape" a great product
If you don't plan on using much I would suggest an automotive part's store. If you plan on using a lot say on a layout I buy mine in 100 to 250 foot rolls for pennies a foot on eBay.
Be sure to check the shrink ratio as I like mine to have at least a two to one shrink value for a good secure fit.
I bought an assortment at Advance Auto Parts that has worked well. Also, try a good hobby shop.
Harbor Freight has a bunch of heatshrink sizes for a good price. Of course, you can also get a ton of different sizes on eBay...
I have been getting mine from ntepartsdirect.com They have just about any size you need and all the colors found inside a loco.

I recently bought three different size rolls of 50' each off ebay seller 225fwy . Paid $7.55 for 3/32", $7.75 for 1/8", $8.50 for 3/16", free shipping. 100' rolls are cheaper per foot.
I buy it in 100ft rolls like this........https://www.ebay.com/itm/100-FT-100-Feet-BLACK-3-32-2-4mm-Polyolefin-2-1-Heat-Shrink-Tubing-Tube-Cable/222547974496?hash=item33d0e49960:g:w30AAOSwSzRZQ-mj
It comes in several diameters

for awkwardly exposed or stub connections too short to take heat shrink effectively, there is also liquid electric tape. the only suggestion i have with those it to increase the drying time 2-3 times what the directions state.
cheers...gary

This is where I get mine too... I like the marine grade. Seems to me I get my tiny ones at my local electronics store.
