Help - Smoke Unit Assistance Needed

only ones mth sell are for dc current that works on the proto2 and 3 systems

You can use an MTH PS/1 smoke unit if you can locate one.  It runs off standard voltage, 18 volts AC and it'll pump out great quantities of smoke!

I can run the unit off DC.  I have taps for 3, 5, and 12 VDC.

If you have a PS/2 smoke unit, you can run the whole shooting match off 5VDC, the fan and the smoke resistor.

So does anyone have any part numbers for MTH units?

MTH# AA-0000070. DC 5 volt. For 14-16 AC MTH # AA-0000011. Another option for 14-16 volts AC is Lionel 610-8057-200

Just an update:

I've been exchanging info and Q & A with the helpful Lionel folks regarding the smoke unit.  Unfortunately, I can't get the MTH folks to respond to email (2).  Any suggestions?

Call MTH, I don't think they believe in email, at least that's been my experience.

I have no proublems in MTH calling me back..ASK FOR MIDGE!!! PARTS DEPT!!..MTH DONT MAKE THE PROTO 1 SMOKE UNIT ANYMORE BUT HAVE SOME PARTS FOR THEM!!..

I did call MTH and left a voice mail for Midge.  I also sent her an e-mail.  Ball's in their court.
