I picked these up at a recent swap meet. The seller thought they were O scale. They’re made of plastic. 4 have had the base removed and these measure 97mm or a bit under 4” high. Does anyone know what brand they are? Voltage? How to open up to check the bulbs?

No idea on the brand.
They may not have been made for trains. Could be Christmas lights.
Might be glued together, not meant to have bulbs replaced.
Check by applying power to the leads.
start with very low voltage (like a 1.2 volt battery), and go up.
Check this site: Town and Country Hobbies.
They look like Corber to me. The white shade should pull straight off.
Could they be Model Power?
Life-Like gas lamps. Should be 14V. I think they are permanently glued together.
O Gauge Guy,
I can't comment on the maker of those lamps, but as far as the size goes, they're a good, reasonable size for O scale (1:48). A 97mm tall post comes to ~ 15-1/4 feet tall or 4.7 meters tall. In other words about 1-1/2 stories tall, fairly close to typical light posts back then (or now).
If the tops are glued on as others have stated, gentle persuasion with a sharp knife or similar at the joints, is usually enough to pop them open. Watch your fingers though (one emergency room visit later, I can tell you why).

Probably Marx. I have a box full of them waiting to be used..... since 1965.
Thank you everyone for the advice. What I found was:
- I gently worked my way up with the voltage and 14V seems about right. That's good news as it matches my preferred voltage for accessories.
- The top seemed glued on but then one came off and I found they are all removable
- Several had loose bulbs so all are now working
- The bulb bases float around and need gluing down
- The quality is a bit average with some warping in the posts but they might even be OK for a station platform I'm building with a 100-year-old theme. Pity I don't have a few more.

They are Life-Like, as Uberstationmeister posted. I think Walthers sold them, too. Keep looking. They are around. They were sold in blister packs.
Definitely Lifelike. The bulbs and the color plastic are a dead giveaway.
