A question for the experts:

This is a Lionel Big Boy 6-28029. In replacing a lamp in the front end, I inadvertently pulled a wire out of this harness and broke the solid tip off of it. You can see my patch job if you look at the top picture! I used 24 awg solid copper wire (didn't have 26 awg) and extended the tip of the wire through the black housing for contact. A little superglue seems to be keeping it in place. In the bottom picture, it is the top lead sticking through the housing.

I have tried searching virtually everything that I can think of to locate the connectors here but I can't get anything on Lionel's website and I am not sure what "part" to search for on DigiKey or the other component websites.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

John,

You have been such a huge help (the smoking Challenger) to me over the last couple of weeks! Thank you!

I put the BigBoy back together and now the front headlamp is out. I'm wondering if my "patch" is the culprit! I know I didn't put 14 volts directly to the circuit board on this repair job

Anyway, it has to come apart again. Back to the bench

Thanks Again!
