All - first posting!  Please forgive my lack of (any) knowledge.  As seems to be a common story, dug up my dad’s old and rusty and neglected childhood lionel set, and having a great deal of fun getting it all running!

225 engine going great, soldered up all new wiring on the whistle tender and runs great, figuring out what do do with really rusty trucks.  Im presuming since the car couplings are old school thats it is pre-war?  My dad used it during ww2, when he was a little kid.

But ... in the box was this nifty little electric car- a bit of oil and it was whipping around like crazy.  But I cant seem to find any pictures of it online to identify what it is or what was called?

Appreciate it!

Technically, the description on the box is wrong. In the real train world, that is known as a "speeder". Never seen one of those before, or maybe I just wasn't looking that hard. It's kind of like a no frills version of Lionel's #50 gang.

Sparks? Try cleaning the wheels and center pickup and your track. Sparking can wear out the pickups.
