I'll be the first one to admit that when it comes to trains and electricity I have alot to learn. Here is my current project. I have a 12782 lift bridge from 1991 on which the main boards have taken a dump. So in order to restore function I ordered this DC motor controller board with the following specs:
Here is the DC motor from Lionel that goes in the bridge:
Lionel has it marked as a DC motor. So my problem is when I hook everything up and run 18 Volts into the motor controller the motor just hums without movement. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
