Finished my first layout which was a 10x6 single train, moving to start a bigger layout with the attached dimensions as far as the benchwork is concerned. Having a hard time finding L layout designs that spur the creative juices in terms of what I want to do track wise. I want a continuous mainline. Not opposed to a 2 level design. Will be running at least 2 trains simultaneous with command/control. Anybody have L layouts pics they want to share?

Here's the layout I'm currently building. It measures 18' x 13'. The long dimension is 52" wide, and the shorter section is 48" wide. As construction professed I've since made two yards where the plan shows one, and I'm looking into adding a separate level on the vertical.

It will be used for running mostly prewar tinplate and early post war. So I've purposely made the outer loop without switches. I suppose you could easily add swathes to connect the two loops.

Hope to have photos soon!
