Poniaj,

When SHS first started their line, The engines and cars had both wheel sets in the box. After that I don't know if they continued on with that practice later on but I do know that every one of my F-3's had the scale wheels to exchange if I so chose for scale running.

When I bought from Tom Hawley in Lancing, Michigan an engine or car they only had Hi Rail on the engine or car. A few years back Tom Sold out all of his Michigan Models inventory to Hoquat Hobbies. Now Hoquat  Hobbies have ceased to exist due to retirement. You might try Tom and see if he might have a few of the High Rail wheel sets in his parts supplies, but probably not. Tom is now the president of The SMSG RR Club here in Michigan and you could probably get in touch with him there in August in Novi, Michigan at the NASG Convention that the SMSG is sponsoring.

Don,

We're  in the same club but you may not have met me yet.  I let my membership lapse for years.  I don't know if Tom still has those parts since he sold off a LOT of things.  It wasn't me who needed them.  It was "sgaugian" who did.

I got the SHS wheels from a scaler who didn't want them.  Right now I am nowhere near home but will check if I have the wheels.  It's whether or not they will fit a switcher.  I'm not sure. Does anybody know?

A friend of mine needs the hi-rail wheels and AF compatible couplers required to convert two (2) scale S-Helper ACL switchers from scale to hi-rail.  Does anyone have those parts or know where he can buy/trade them?  Thanks.

sgaugian,

I have seen your problem and I went to sidetracks.net web page and clicked on S Helper Service and found one set of HiRail wheel sets for an SW/9 Switcher on sale for $9.95 on Sale. Now he also might have more and he also might have the AF/ Couplers your friend needs.

Try them and see. Good luck!

Jerry,

I have gone on to the S Gauge Forum and sent Sgaugian a note about sidetracks.net web page having a set of HRail wheels for a SW/9 Switcher and they might even have some AF Couplers to go with. I don't know if sidetracks has two sets or not. Thanks for your input and another person to contact would be Dave's Twack's & Twain's but I think he moved to California and he isn't set up yet to do business.
