My longtime friend Bob Lurig - HO Bob passed this morning at about 11am. Bob was my main train buddy and with his carpenter woodworking talent we built my layout. Starting in February 2018 we put in at least 8 hour days until the benchwork was completed in December 2019..

Although an HO man, Bob joined us O gauge guys at Allentown Thaws, Kutztown Flash Meets, Edison Greenberg, Hamburg Fieldhouse, Kempton Train and York.

Miss ya alot Bob.

Walter introduced me to Bob back in 2019. We all made some great memories running trains, getting together on the weekend to help with Walter's layout, and going to shows as Walter mentioned. Bob was gracious enough to have us over one night to see his layout in 2021 and I'm very grateful for it. I'll never forget Bob's kindness and wit; it will surely be missed at train nights and shows.

Love you Bob!

To Walter, And Bob and his Family and friends,

My sincere condolences. Thank you for sharing the pics. A good sign of a happy person is their smile, the sparkle in their eyes, and a good soul. I see those good qualities in Bob. And the kind sentiment posted by his friends is touching. My favorite pic is Bob next to the constructed benchwork. Eight hours of work a day are long. But after all, a friend is always there to lend a hand. And I'm sure the time passed in accomplishment and rewarded in good fun. What better friend can anyone hope to have?

May Bob Rest In Peace in Heaven.

Oh no! I am greatly saddened to hear this. I met Bob at one of the train get togethers at Corsair29’s layout. He was a real nice guy and I enjoyed my conversations with him. He was always upbeat about the hobby and even though he was HO he seemed to enjoy the O gauge trains and layout very much. I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to his family.
