Yesterday I was able to score three Atlas Santa Fe GP60M's (TMCC) mint condition in sealed boxes.  They will arrive later in the week.  Two of the units are powered the 3rd is a dummy.  What I plan to do is run run them as a train with dummy in the middle and powered units on each end.  I figure this will do a better job of distributing the "rail sounds".  I read the TMCC manual about how to build a "train", but I could not find any explaination to indicate if the horn would blow on the rear facing locomotive.  I'm guessing it will not.

Should I be concerned, in other words, is the default that both horns will blow?  Is there an undocumented "trick" to make both powered units horn to blow if they are in a lashup facing opposite directions?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

I think I may have just figured it out.  I will program the "backwards" running unit as a single engine lashup to start in reverse.  Then add my other engines to front and run the train not as a semi-lashup mode by assinging the same engine number to both powered units.  The "backwards" unit should retain its starting in reverse features.

What say you?
