I always wondered how to make your own smoke fluid. I heard that you can use white mineral oil like the MTH fluid. I’d it possible?

This question has been asked here many times over. Simple answer is "DON'T". Buy the stuff made by people who know what they're doing such as Mega Steam.

Roman is 100% correct. Way too many previous posts with recommendations for things that could be dangerous/flammable, (or more toxic than smoke fluid if you inhale the resultant fumes/vapors) etc.
It got such that any such post gets locked/deleted by7 the moderator(s) due to the risks.
This one should be no different.
Burning up a train (or worse) your residence to save a few $$ is not worth it. Nor is inhaling God knows what if you put something in there that is not meant to be put in there.
Buy commercial (MTH, Lionel, MegaSteam, etc).

This topic comes up several times per year....same discussion. Best thing to do is to use the search function....you will find plenty of dangerous suggestions as well as safe ones too!
