Great story and airline. They have been profitable the last five years in a very difficult industry.

I wish American companies looked more favorably upon the public and their employees versus only satisfying Wall Street.

PS - Ijust finished reading about the secret Santa couple in Detroit and now need a second box of tissues

Isn't it a hoot when the kid asks for a train?

A very nice gesture by the airline and all its employees.

That is one amazing marketing team this airline has.
They figured out how to touch the hearts of many.
Really humanize the company. Prolly made their employees feel really proud and happy.
Made some loyal customers very grateful who will tell this story for a long time.
Got free media coverage and earned lots of good will.

Of course documenting this cost way more than the gifts.
And all tax deductible.

Might be a stretch to assume they are a "Christian" company.
But it is possible.
They should be applauded for their ingenuity and for their willingness to promote themselves as decent and thoughtful people instead of barriers a lot of corporations put up between their clientele.

Let's hope they can continue this behavior in their lean times.
Now that will be truly "Christian"

It sounds lame. My Dad who spent his life in plants, used to say, just get me socks and underwear for Christmas.

It took me years to understand.

Later in life, I was working twelve to sixteen hour shifts on my feet all day. The best way to cope was to have on newer socks and underwear. Good new boots were in the contract already. One night I remembered his request when I was having troubles with old socks and feet pain. Hit me like a ton of bricks. They were worth gold.
