I apologize if this is a dumb question. How do you add the proper amount of smoke fluid using a bottle with a needle applicator? I fill steamers using a funnel with a long enough stem that reaches down into the unit with no problem, but diesels are harder. My Lionel SD50 has very narrow openings where you add the fluid and I can't get the stem of a funnel in there.
When I add 20-25 drops into the small bottle and try to turn the bottle upside down and squeeze the fluid via the needle into the smoke unit, the fluid doesn't come out very much, if at all. I have to add quite a bit of fluid into the squeeze bottle before it will flow out of the needle, but I'm afraid I'm adding too much fluid since I can't count the drops.
How do you guys accurately add smoke fluid using these applicators? Thanks!!
