How to repair K-Line fisherman on trestle?

There was a train show in Mebane ?

Sounds like it might be a loose wire to me.

I can turn the motor's armature with a screwdriver; it turns very easily but the gears still don't turn. Wonder why?

This post is very helpful as my little fisherman quit also....guess I am not paying him enough. Thanks to everyone above for all of this info.

I fixed it!

I took the black plastic motor housing off of the motor, removed the large gear, greased all the gears, oiled the rear motor bearing and manually turned the armature. Then I plugged it in and the motor turned so I put it back into its housing. Turned it on and all the gears turn, so I don't really know what the final solution was but it works.

I'm proud of me!
