Hi all, can anyone describe a step by step as to how to properly open up a TIU and get to the fuses? I read somewhere about six screws but where are they (top, bottom, etc) and what else do I need to know?

The screws are on the bottom, there are six. Once you remove those, the fuses, if your tiu has them are inside. The automotive type. Just pull and replace.
Tony, thanks. That is much appreciated. I noticed that you said, if your TIU has them. Was that to meann some were built without replaceable fuses? I hope that isn't what I have. Will take a look tnought. thanks
Theoriignal TIUs, Rev G, did not have fuses. Since plastic can only take so much screwing & unscrewing, I recommend you consider using external fuses or breakers. If I recall correctly, the inside fuses are 15 or 20 amps. If you have an external 10-amp fuse or breaker, your should never have to open the TIU for fuse replacement again. Over the long haul, breakers are cheaper than fuses
Hmm it is a Rev L with a USB port. However, I am not seeing the fuses. Does anyone know how many there are and where I should be looking. THe cover came off fairly easily but I must be missing something obvious.
you must be mistaken as I know the rev l has fuses!!! like someone said the rev G I believe had no FUSES !look on the bottom of the tiu there is a black sticker there that TELLS YOU WHAT REV YOU HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No need to shout. The USB port gives it away.
And once you get the screws out, leave them out. Just rest the cover atop the TIU. You'll be back in at some point, so why wear out the screw posts.
