I received a pack of Woodland Scenics "Street Lights" as a gift. (LEDs, 30mA set) ) I would like to use them, but I have no intention of adding more of the Just-plug products so i do not want to buy a "light port hub". How would I power these lights w/o a hub? I'd like to just wire them directly to a 12v DC terminal strip I use for other things, or preferably wire them directly to a track power bus. I run in TMCC mode so the tacks are 18v constant. Thanks.

See this thread which has photos of the guts of the WS Light Hub.
The hub converts your AC transformer voltage to DC and then has a variable resistor / potentiometer that controls the current flowing to each LED.
So if you have 30 mA LEDs, you just need to convert your 18V AC to DC (e.g, diode or bridge-rectifier). Then a resistor to limit the current to 30 mA or whatever per your brightness preference.
Thanks

John, thanks. I ordered one.
I use 12 vdc for all accessories I can. Works great for the led strips. The converters work well for the 4.5 vdc Menards and WS buildings. Glad I could help.
