So five boards showed up from China. I just searched my old posts from the order date and they appear to have been deleted? I'm guessing to clean up the electrical build project posts?

I believe I was inquiring about triggering signals on my 2 rail and Stan suggested these boards to trigger the lights?

This is what I got. I can't find the posts?

Well, here's a rather lengthy (287 posts over 8 pages!) thread about occupancy detection using optical methods.  It kind of meanders all over the map though.  If you narrow down (more specific than occupancy detection in 2-rail) what you are trying to do especially any unique considerations about your layout, I might be able to point you to a more focused discussion or we can start a new one.

Thanks Stan. I will look over that post because, I have the time!

My main 2 rail layout is basically 2 large around the walls mainline loops. There are 2 cross overs. There is a passing siding off of the outside main.

There is a passing siding off of the inside main. There is an engine yard and a separate car yard that both come off this extra inside main passing siding.

Someday I would like to have operating lights to add interest.

I think that's about it? I like the look of 3 over 3 vertical lights. I think I need to study what's used up in the Northeast where I want to focus. I live near the CSX yard in Niagara Falls that has just installed PTC light towers.
