I've got pretty much everything working now on my crane except the one function that operates Cab direction going right and one function that lowers the hook. Please note that my controller is fine and that is not the issue. It is somewhere in the wiring or what I don't know. If I juggle it around a little bit it seems to work and then quits. I get the soul Knights working but the motor won't kick in and that is the issue. Can somebody please tell me how to solve this problem.

Thank you very very much, Jerry jba435@gmail.com

Soul Knights? Funny because I was just watching MP & The Holy Grail

You have to mean solinoids... Which is odd because I didn't think that crane had any.   I'm gonna peek at it after this.

It could very well be a bad wire. Continuity check while wiggling, and or tests for voltage drops while you wiggle... warming wire quite a bit to soften insulation and a pulling and smoothing the wire tight can exasperate the issue making an intermediate internal break in connection within the insulation fail enough for a definate detection.  Just don't overstress the metal of the wire stretching it and if still intact it should be ok.

A solder connection can also develop an often imperceivable crack called a cold solder. Touch each with a soldering iron to reflow it. Adding to the solder, or removal of old, is a case by case thing, but mostly a reflowing of what is there already is enough.

After screwing around forever I realized that there was a bad connection coming from the motor at both ends for right and left quotation along with the hook raising and lowering. I had to play around for a long time to finally get to solder joints to work but now everything works okay. If you are just getting two solenoids to kick in look in that area of the motor wiring

Thanks much, Jerry
