A Google search of Rich shows he is in many places. Must be a busy man!
Rich has always been a busy guy. Aside from being a steam locomotive engineer, he is also an aircraft pilot and gets about in fashion.

I always knew Rich is a sharp dresser, but didn't know he was into fashion.
I thought he bought a RV and was going to travel. Rich, lets see some pictures of your travels. Don
Larry, I would love to have you visit.
Last week I read here he was hiding out in someones basement.

Rich...? Rich who?....

Good one, Don!
That one might need a diesel pusher.
Ramming speed!
William, you mean a lash up with a Trainmaster? Don
He needs to be doing OGR Video #14! But, I imagine he's enjoying himself instead. I really hope to see more OGR Videos of others layouts. Rich did an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS job!

You are correct, this bloke, whoever he is, is much better looking. <snicker!>

Nah, you mean 'driving' a Trainmaster lash-up.
The man in the white shirt and tie is Leapin Larry, saying Wow, I am now retired to, for real. I hope that Rich is enjoying himself in his semi retirement roll and simply enjoying traveling. His RV is so nice. Hello Rich, wherever you R...

I see you got this shot just after I got her out of the paint shop. That’s our new motor home.
We traded this one...
Seriously, The Lovely and Gracious LINDA and I are not retired yet. We’re still doing some of the behind the scenes admin work for the magazine from a home office in our new home in Columbus, Ohio. I’m still doing some flying, but I’ve begun the process of winding down that career.
I am no longer a licensed locomotive engineer. My certification expired on May 31 and I chose not to recertify. I retired from the 765 steam crew in 2016 and now have no reason to maintain my engineer certification.
This is our REAL land yacht...
One more thing...in September, the Lovely and Gracious LINDA and I will celebrate 50 years together...48 of ‘em happy! 😇

A man of many talents, many of which he shared with us. Godspeed Rich.

Rich, all the best to you and your wife, sounds like you're livinging the dream!
Enjoy your travels Rich. Well deserved.
Hey Rich, you know my driveway. Lots of room for that baby if you ever find yourself in my neighborhood. I was very happy when you signed my Lionel 765. Thanks again.

Folks,
Rich is only semi-retired, he is still doing good things behind the scenes for our magazine, both print and digital. That's why he carries the deserved title of CEO. Helps keep the rest of us "on the rails"

FYI, Lionel included a Mars light in the box for those who desire one. I put my light on.
Glad to hear you're doing well, Rich, and keeping busy in semi-retirement. That's quite a ride you and Linda have! I'm sure you've visited some great sights and will undoubtedly visit many more. And congrats on your upcoming 50th wedding anniversary, a milestone to be proud of (Kathie and I just hit 34 years yesterday).
BTW, Rich, are you still shooting videos for OGR? I have them all and I've always enjoyed them and would love to see more.
Be well.
Chris
Rich, look forward to seeing that moving hotel parked at York one of these days.
John, the Land Yacht has been parked in York several times. Of course that was the OLD motor home, and they made me park it on the street, way in the back. You likely just missed it...
I heard that he was working for CTT

You picked a great city!!! Both of my brothers live there so I visit often. Some great hobby shops....all within a mile or two of each other!!! Columbus is easy to get around and has about everything you need.....even two Menard's stores!! Love the RV.....enjoy semi retirement!!!!!
Rich,
Since you are only semi-retired, just maybe, just maybe you can do an OGR video primarily focused on putting 2 engines running together! You could call it a lash-up video but that might make you go into full retirement since it is a forbidden word in trains.
Enjoy the traveling wheels-it's a nice rolling yacht you have.

Eddie, you have me confused with former OGR Editor, the late Fred Dole. After he quit here, Fred went over to “the dark side” and wrote a few articles for CTT.
OK...enough of that. Now I’ve got to start working on the shooting script for “The Lashup” video.
Hopefully proving Otto Stoker is not a real guy. Just kidding. Hopefully having a ton of fun. Have you made it out to Yellowstone Rich?

LOL!
That guy "Otto" sure gets around.
No trip to Yellowstone yet. We've only been west of the Mississippi twice, on trips to Mountain Home, AR. I'm still working too much to plan a long trip like that. Maybe this fall...
You would definitely enjoy it Rich. Both spring and fall have weather like snow. I went out there I think it was 2010 in May(mid to late). It was supposed to be in the mid 70's, we heard snow was going to be there for the majority of the days we were there. Coming in was in the 70's and went to freezing conditions with lots of wind. We got lucky because the pass between Canyon and Mammoth opened the day we went up that way. The one thing we missed we the Teutons as they opened the week after we left. May want to try June or maybe September. Best to call the park and ask what would be the best time I suppose. Main thing to watch out for besides the Bison(Buffalo) using the roads, are the people who forget how to drive and almost hit you. Lots of good eating out there as well.
