I bought it at a train show yesterday for $5 with the intent to repair, but I cannot find a single document or even a photo of this car on the interweb - I checked da Bay and of course, Lionel's site. I know many of you have greater searching skills (and sometimes reference docs) than me, so can you provide a link to any parts references for this rascal? It does say Lionel on the bottom, along with Mt. Clemens, and it's nearly identical to my LRRC Western Union Baby Madison Camp Car #1307 , and I did find the parts for that on Lionel's site.

Thank you!

Thank you all, I just like to have documentation for all my pass cars and operating cars, and your explanation of the mfg date explains why I couldn't find it. Is there a "bible" for the LTI period?

Marty, I'm repairing both trucks by adding a 2nd set of ground and power pickups (only came with one), a new uncoupler plunger and armature, two knuckles w/springs, and scrounged up three (fast angle) wheel and axle  sets - believe it or not, I had all those parts in my bins. Sometimes it DOES pay to order extra parts from Jeff

I will also install a set of strip LED lights from the roll I bought from China plus one of the $0.99 regulator bds from the same place - warm and lovely colored, they said - we'll see!

This is just the kind of activity I enjoy the most. Once completed, I'll probably get out the Williams SD-45 (#3748) and haul all of my passenger cars around for a while (that thing is an animal!) I suffered as a child from PCD, or as we know it today, "Passenger Car Deficit." I never had any PC's growing up, but got my first ones this year

Thanks again!
