I was hoping to find some ideas for my new O scale layout. The platform I will be using for the layout is 6x12. For track, I will be using the Lionel Fastrack. I would like to have a two level system with the scenery being in the mountains with the tracks running through it. I would like the track to have a unique look to it instead of just the basic oval. I also would like to have the biggest curves as possible as I am planning on expanding my engine collection. If possible I would also like to have some track where I can store some of my engines when I am not running them. Looking forward to seeing your ideas.

Hey Isaac, congrats on deciding to build a layout! I currently have a multigauge 6x9 two-level FasTrack plan for my layout. I could convert it to 6x12 single-gauge if you want? Just as a base
That would be great BurkusCircus52. Thank You.
Here's my current 6x9 plan. Working on modifying it to 6x12. Let me know if you have any suggestions. The "Celtic Knot" is the upper level.

Thank you so much, I love your designs. What would think of the top level being in the shape of a kidney bean? I want to build a mountain in the far left corner and have the train run through it.
What do you mean by a kidney bean? Like bend it a bit?
Either way, here's a lower layer mock-up. I added a bend in the bottom for more interest, and simplified the yard. Mountain could go in top or bottom left.

The back side of the track would be straight while the front will curve in, go straight, and then come back around and connect to the straight track. Just an idea that I thought of.

Those look awesome. Thank you so much.
Also by the way, what program are you using?
The free version of SCARM (Simple Computer-Aided Railway Modeller). Considering I mostly work on 6x9 or similar ranges, the 100 piece limit isn't too much of a restriction (though it is why the yard sidings aren't in the mock up, lol.
