Improved my bench power supply | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have been using a PC power supply on my bench for lighting and testing, even engines. It still had all the computer harnesses and no on off switch. Here is what I ended up with. $10 for the box, $6 for the meters, and the rest I had in parts. I pulled the PS out of a town recycling bin. I will make a small jumper with a diode to use the 5 volt tap for 4.5 volt applications. Didn't even let any magic smoke out when I plugged it in.

Looks good. Hard to beat an ATX power supply for bang for your buck. A free one is even better!

I'd guess it be the Scepter JBX664 Junction BoX (6" x 6" x 4")
