In the past, I have used a wire brush over a light coat of paint to give an aged or faded look on wood.  I'm working on some new buildings and I'm going to try a wash as suggested by many.
I have several bottles of isopropyl alcohol scatter about, but I do not have any India ink.  I just can not run out to a store & buy a bottle due to the current C-19 situation, so does anyone know if a substitute can be used such as a small amount of gray or black paint, possibly acrylic?  It's not a big deal, but I'm looking for suggestions.
Thanks for any advice you have to offer.
Dennis

The nice part of water based acrylics is you can wash it off if you don't like it. Even a year or two later it comes off , though it's a bit more work after about a month and beyond.    I started using it because it was all I had and I grew to like it fast. It is better paint than it was when  I was young; for sure.

Just curious.  I do have some acrylic paint, so what percent mixture do you use?  Also, do you use it like dry brushing or wet?  Thanks.
