I just purchased these and I really like them , but I’m not crazy about the trucks they came with. Anyone know what trucks I can use on these without making major alterations?

Weaver trucks are a direct replacement.
I purchased some RTR 8,000 gallon Tank cars years ago. Yes to the Weaver trucks. On the tank cars they came with a installed bonded steel and rubber washer in order to gain some height for the coupler to swing.
Handle with care Alex. Intermountain has the best detail but its extremely fragile. You will probably want to add some weight. If you are new to Intermountain know that their kits come with both 2 and 3 rail wheelsets but their assembled items come one way or the other. I guess it doesn’t matter much though if you want to replace the trucks with metal.
