Information wanted, suggestions on “drumhead” transparencies | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I picked these up around 20 years ago from a hobby shop, and have procrastinated displaying them because I never really had a plan on how to.

Please give your ideas on how these could be displayed.

You could build a wood box frame and use acrylic on the front behind these to stiffen them. Light with string LEDs. Cover back with masonite.

Otherwise....I would be happy to take them off your hands. LOL

I bought black framed shadow boxes from Michaels, (12×12) I think but the actual dimensions are slightly larger. I added self adhesive LED light strings along the inside edge and attached the lights to a battery box. Battery box is attached to frame with double sided tape for easy access to the switch and the batteries. I also used black masking tape along the edge of the glass and transparency to soften the edges.

Pictures attached but they look much better in person.

When I first got these, I put them away thinking I would need to work out some plug in fluorescent bulb in a fabricated round base.
