The inner loop is some how isolated from the outer loop but I don't know how. I will just have to run power to the inner loop too. I had a bad section of track on the outer loop and replaced it. I had this same setup with tubular track and it was no problem but this one has me stumped.I am thinking for some reason that it is being isolated from the main loop but I don't know how. If anyone knows more about this please post.

You may need to put a set of feed on a lock-on on the inner loop. There are two things working against you here:
- The MTH lock-on only connects to one outside rail
- The MTH RealTrax switches lose the common on the innermost rail of the turnout for non-derail purposes. When you put two switches together for a crossover you have lost the outside rail for the inner loop\
test this with a continuity test (no track power) of the outside rails of the outer loop to the outside rails of the inner loop. You should have no continuity,
The answer may be to put a 40-1068-2 10" ground track in the outer loop. This ties both outside rails to common and you only need one lock-on.
Another option is the one that mentioned first - add a lock-on to the inner loop on the opposite side of the lock-on on the outer loop.
You don't have a major problem - just some nuances of a track system
Thank you very much. I have a lockon on each side of the outer look as well and adding another lock on to the inner is easier than tracking down a 10" ground here where I live.
Just try to orient the lock-ons on opposites side of the roadbed to connect both commons.
Do have power now? Is the switch working?
What type of track are you using?
Have you tried using a meter to see if you're missing the hot or the return?
I put lock ons on both sides of the track and still no dice. I have not tried putting lock ons in the inner loop yet.
To test, put a lighted car on the inner loop. Turn on the transformer with some voltage to the track. Then, take a piece of wire, bare on both ends and touch the outer loop outside rail to an inner loop outside rail.
The car will light or the switch lantern will light if on track power
You don't have a common on the inside.
Put a meter on the shopping list.
Light bulbs and wires and lockons will not be the best way to analyze an electrical problem. You do not have a complicated problem. You have a simple problem. The solution will be simple. If you co-operate and answer my first two questions, then I can ask the next two and so on...until we get you running. But you have to meet me halfway.
