Nothing inspires me more than an old photo or letter. With that said, here is your inspiration for the week. There are some incredible shots included in this link, photos from 1870-1920. Some amazing train shots too. I don't care how hard times were, I wish I lived 100 years ago.

Yes very captvating photographs indeed. That era, for all the struggles they endured, was still a wonderful time in our country...how can one not find it very alluring. Thanks for posting that link.

wow the photos are great. The massive structures engineering. the infrastructure and design of that time period. people dreamed and they dreamed big. something we all forget now since its all there, but the design of that period is gone. some of those pics are amazing clarity. hard to believe some of that was there. I hear all the time from engineers that they are not allowed to design cool bridge designs now, basic steel and pier. no arches or design
