I have a Williams GP38 powered and non powered. Love the engine but Sorry but do not like the horn and bell so I'm looking to change it. I have a Lionel Dummy f3 that has sound (gears were stripped so I made it a dummy for my working engine).

Is it possible and how hard is it to install the sound board from the Lionel engine into the Williams Engine.

It is a Lionel FT Santa Fe Super Chief Diesel Engine. When I bought it the gears were stripped but everything still worked. I removed the gears and it now rolls freely. The sounds also work so when I push the horn button both engines blow the their horns.

I also have a Dale Earnhardt gp38 I use as a dummy because the sound board went out. Was going to replace the sound board however it was the same cost just to buy a new engine with sound, so I made it a dummy behind the new engine. I can still get another sound board through Lionel so which would you suggest to put in.

Thanks Gary
