Insulated Rail Question for Electrical Wizards

As long as the right rail is contiguous and the power districts share common- sure why not?

Insulated rail is just that- an outer rail section NOT common with the other outside rail- sensing the wheels rolling across it connecting both outer rails.

No harm in burning a few brain cells.....

Just a note : you don't mention what type of track. Remember that Tubular outside rails are bonded by the ties. An insulator would need to be added under each tie of the insulated rail.

Excellent point!  It was GarGraves, so all rails are isolated from each other.

Not to nitpic; but wouldn’t it be under the rail at each tie?

Yes. That's what I wrote. Each tie for the length of the insulated rail.
