Having a problem in my crane the platform will not raise. Motor runs and ifIi help it it will take up the slack in the lines and looking at the gears the shaft moves fine but the small gear is slipping. Another person in the group said some made a replacement gear but he could not remember who so checking to see what can be done to fix i. Was thinking about a small amount of JB weld on the shaft and gear. Pacific  Lionel 6-22922  Intermodal Crane

This is a very common problem with this accessory. One or both gears split. You can try JB Weld, but it may not work or work for long. The best thing to do is replace the offending gear assembly. AFAIK, Lionel has no spare gears for this. However, you can get brass replacement gears from Hennings. And I think I saw that someone was making an aftermarket plastic gear. BTW, the other name for this accessory is Mi-Jack. HERE and HERE are other threads on the subject.
