Unit was wired up correctly and programmed. We used a postwar 2035 as the test mule. The engine ran forward/reverse okay but there was a rhythmic clicking noise coming from the mechanical e-unit (possibly caused by some sort of electronic pulse?). The e-unit did not change positions, just "clicked". Tried another engine (pw 2056) with same result.
In order to eliminate a wiring issue on my layout, my friend substituted the unit for one of the TCPs on his layout, again with same result. Has anyone experienced this problem and is there anything that can be tested or checked on these units?
