It's Finally Here (MTH Cab Forward)

I love it that you met the UPS man at his first stop-can anyone tell he's excited to get this?  !

I've had mine for about a week and It's a really great engine!

 

However,  I did have to clear out a few places where the engine's big square nose wanted  to rearrange the trackside scenery and structures.

 

Never mind the rivets - count the smoke!

 

Seriously, I like a happy ending (to your extremely long wait - no wonder you were stalking the UPS guy).

I envy your cab forward. Unfortunately my piggy bank is not big enough to afford a new one. Good luck with your new beast!

Very nice steamer, the MTH smoke units are monsters. I have to turn off the basement smoke detector when I run the smoke for any amount of time.

The cab forward is one of my favorites!  My "piggy bank" seems to be similar to Bobby's though!

You have been waiting for this engine for a very long time, glad it is finally here and lives up to your expectations. Boy, you weren't too anxious, "tracking" down the UPS driver, but you have the inside "track" on this one.

13 months!  Lets see, then that should make it about 8 more months until Dave gives me a call that my little switcher is in!  ;-)

 

Not to worry, that gives me time to regroup from our youngest daughter's wedding last fall and the tax man holding out his hand for much more money.  Ha ha.  That hit hard.

I have the older RK version that I upgraded to PS/2 and then detailed the cab and added additional lighting, etc.  They are very cool, one of the more unusual steamers.
