Looks like those 1984 Williams brass sharks.... The first ones to hit the 3 rail market.

These Sharks are gorgeous engines. Never had one. They look to me like they are long probably requiring wide radius curves. Are there O Gauge sharks that run well on 031 curves?
Actually, the scale Sharks are fairly short, and they specify O36, but I'll bet they'd likely do O31. Each unit is only about 13" long.

No. They're Lionel Century engines. Surprised with following post with this engine pics. wasn't noticed they were Lionels.
The Discovery Channel's 2020 edition of Shark Week did start yesterday, so this topic is topical.
I missed this topic last year. My layout is a mess, so here are some of my file pictures of my Sharks.
Lionel's scale PRR BF15 AA (Baldwin DR 4-4-14/Freight Shark).
Weaver's scale PRR BP20 AB (Baldwin DR 6-4-20/Passenger Shark)
Comparing the Lionel with the Weaver
As most of you know, the Southern Pacific maintained a sizable fleet of Sharks for their flagship passenger trains...(I hope you're not buying this! )
Actually I understand the SP had engaged in merger talks with the New York Central. Had that happened might we have seen "Daylight" painted sharks side by side with classic NYC Hudsons?
So I now realize that's its been a year since I said I was going to unpack my D&H Sharks.......still in the boxes.......sigh
At least my D&H Sharks made it to my train shelves.

In the spirit of comradery and fraternity that is a hallmark of this fine forum, if you send the sharks to me up to the Poconos, I will gladly unbox them and stretch their legs... you did say D&H, didn’t you???
Williams had the first freight sharks......

As always, you are too generous Paul. Unfortunately, due to the travel restrictions in NYS, I would have to self-quarantine in your basement for two weeks and run them myself. You would have to properly social distance and stay out.
@gunrunnerjohn- I don't have enough shelf space to display them or they would have been out a long time ago.
Since you all shamed me...I did pull one box out last night. Photo for proof....
As a footnote- I am currently trolling the waters for another pair....stay tuned.

As a member of the high risk group, I am a-paul-ed that you would think that I would do anything to jeopardize your health or mine. Two small points... neither Pennsylvania nor New York require 14 day quarantine when traveling between the states, AND, I said “SEND the sharks to me”, not BRING them
Finally, if we don’t see it running on your layout, it is highly suspect!!!
don't get cold feet Bob... come on in, the water's fine ...
PS... like your footnote... tuned in...
Somebody should put into a shark the theme of JAWS, and plays when you hit the horn or bell.

So I'm pleased to announce that I have expanded my fleet (or is it school) of Sharks.
I just received these Williams NYC A A locos from a forum member.
