Here is my latest project which took some time to do. I custom painted 10 K-Line Superliner cars (21" cars) to Amtrak Phase V. The decals were a custom run, and all cars were painted using Floquil Platinum Mist. I used the original dio-sol version as it is far more metallic and bright than their most recent version, which is still available from various sources. I also added LED lighting strips, using the LED convertor boards from GunRunnerJohn. These are just awesome to work with. Also took all the window material out and added automotive window tint material to tint these windows. Added Kadee couplers and this train is awesome to run, pulling less than 1 amp total for 10 lit cars. The Kadees have the cars really close together making it look very cool.

Here is a pic of with power to the lights and without.

Snazzy-looking job there

Where did you commission the custom decals from? I bought a couple of Lionel Amtrak Superliners sight unseen and they turned out to be Phase 1. My bad for not checking, so that's on me. But I'm still  shooting for an all Phase V (or IVb) fleet (other than my exhibit train, which will need Ph3), so I'm looking into ways of simply covering the existing stripes and substituting the newer scheme, which will involve decals, and maybe some aluminum-painted overlays
