We rode behind the newly restored K37 yesterday. Last time it ran was in 1963. It is the largest operating narrow gauge steam locomotive in the Americas.
Here are some pictures. I will add a video later once I can figure out how.

Somebody convince Bachmann to do all their stuff in On3!
Great video!
Good job thanks for posting
Mike, thanks for the video comment. I used a very fancy camcorder, my iPhone 4! I did use Final Cut Pro to stabilize the image. Someday I will get a digital camcorder.

MMI does one in ON30. Nice video John. Thanks for sharing.
Kent, thanks, I don't know when they will run it again. I saw it on their website. They have a schedule for Saturdays when they are operating something but they normally don't say what it will be. Two weeks I thought about going and called to find they were running one of the RGS' geese. The 491 is special so they had that on their website.
VEry cool. Always liked the the Rio Grande - rode it alot when I was a kid
beautiful locomotive, thanks for sharing.I've ridden behind the Rio Grand engine at Huckleberry several times.
Thanks!!! I'd love to go there someday. I love the D&RGW.......funny I'm next to Cass RR but want to go to Colorado!
This is great news. These things may be around for another century! I used to ride behind the K-36s every year, often double- headed.
AMCDave, That's not funny at all! I'm going to Cass next month! Cass is still my favorite railroad place. Out here I get my Shay fix riding the Georgetown Loop Railroad. I used to live in Maryland and have been to Cass many times.
Thanks for that enjoyable video. That's one neat engine.
