After admiring Jim Policastro's wonderful Pinnacle Peaks addition to his fine layout, I have started work on the King's Gate Central or KGC.

I love the simple track plan Jim used & his magnificent scenery. I decided to keep it simple & build a similar line, so thank you Jim for your wonderful creation!

The KGC is a 6 x 9 layout with two ovals on different levels. The lower oval will be at 34 inches high from the floor & the other 15 inches above that. This will allow for steep rock faces, and fun scenery options like tunnels, several bridges & a waterfall or two.

The lower framing is complete along with the fascia on the bottom. The first set of uprights are ready to be installed then the sub roadbed will be next.

Mth realtrax painted & ballasted will be used. I plan to run some postwar but mostly my favorite loco, Lionel & Mth versions of the 4-4-0.

More pics of the KGC will follow as progress continues.
