I had run two on Lionel O-48 (actually more like O47½) Fast Track, that was almost their absolute limit. I read somewhere O-54.

They're rated for O-54, but they look better on O-96.
Thank you. I guess it won’t work on my 42” radius layout that I have at home. I can run the MTH 18” cars on the layout and was looking for an Observation car to complete my passenger set. I found one but it is a 21” long car.

Are your curves 42" radius or 42" diameter?
42" radius = 84" diameter and a 21" car will certainly go around an O-84 curve.
Roy, I stand corrected. You’re right and I’m wrong. My curves are 042 which is the diameter of the curve not the radius. So sorry
Oddly enough, Atlas Horizon / Comet cars will run on 042 track however they do have significant overhang. I have not been able to do the same with my other 21" cars.
