KW whistle / bell backwards?

Hi,

I'm sure this has been asked & answered many times ( but I don't know it!)

I just installed a Zener diode in a KW IAW the schematic in my Greenburgh bible. With center rail to A and outside to U I get the bell vs whistle on a new tender. Of course reverse the leads and everything is fine (except now my common is the center rail).

I'm not sure what is the right / best COA right now. Looking for some insights & assistance.

The original Lionel manuals were notorious for showing the wrong polarity of the selenium rectifiers in the schematics of the transformers. The pictorial diagrams were accurate, however, in showing them installed in the proper orientation. Looks like you will have to do a switch inside the case.

Thanks Rob! Easy to flip but a bit frustrating...thought I was being so careful...

Other than functions being backwards the Zener does work nice!
