I MAKE SOME SIMILAR TO AG'S BUT I USE A "FREEZE PLUG"FOR CAR ENGINES FOR THE SHADES.

I like the photos AG.  very nice work. 

  I thought of making custom lights like that, put them on poles and make plant hangers.  I saw a style in Canada that I really liked for street lights.  Brass may be a great idea.  I just need to be able to get tubing stock to bend the shapes and some benders like brake line benders. or what do you do AG?

brass strips also to cut and make the lamp shades!  I got LED prewired units so I am good there.

I never worked with brass. I would hope I can use the weller gun I use for wiring of course a small flame torch would work best to sweat the joints.  I am up in the air with that one

Weller will be more that fine.

I thought so... it's really hard to do precision joints like that in such close proximity to other joints without driving yourself crazy. I know there's ways, but none of them are fun.

fellas,  just ordered some brass sheet and various tubing sizes.  Neighbor has a tube bender and I thought for some curves for lights I would heat up the brass a little and then bend it to shape.  Here is a diagram I drummed up for my vision of lights.
