I am finishing up a elevated trestle project.I am not sure if the transition from land to the trestle is right. Also I transitioned from Fastrak to O gauge tubular before reaching the trestle. Can any of you guys post a couple of close up shots of what you may have created in a similar project?I have included a couple of pic's of what I came up with. Maybe it "is" ok?Just not sure. Thanks in advance for your trouble.Nick

It looks okay to me: realistic and neatly done, but I'm not a civil or structural engineer so I don't know the details. Nice bridge though . . .
Well done!

I don't have anything that I have done yet but maybe these pics of the real deal would be of some help. Not the greatest but.....

Rockstar, If you are looking for Backheads which hold the unstable hillside from sliding off a hill where you transition to a bridge ,both Scenic Express and Dave Hikel sell these parts for bridge systems.

Looks very good as is.
Looks to me like yours is close to the real thing in the links posted by N&W Class J above.
As others have said, it looks good enough to me, but typically an abutment would be constructed to sure up the slope on each side and give a stable base for the bridge that would then be built to cross from abutment to abutment. At least this has been my experience with road design and construction - it may be different for railroads, but from what I have seen, it looks like the railroads typically employ this same design to their bridges.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys.Chris:Thanks for the pics.of the real deal.I like the first one.I think I just have some minor tweaking to do.I also plan on weathering the O scale track.Turtle:awesome trestle build!,Nick
Looks real good.

Nice transition !!!
I like it.
It looks fine.
If you must, it looks like you could slip in another timber under the track transition cribbing, to hold back ballast.
If the land remains "rock", I see even less reason for any OCD here.
